The 12 Commandments of the Algorithm

Sacred rules inscribed on the tablets of the Generator. Follow them — and may Profit Factor be with you.

Thou shalt not enter the market without a plan.

For the market forgives no improvisation. Strategy is thy shield and sword.

Thou shalt not make an idol of a single indicator.

RSI is not omnipotent, MACD is not omniscient. Combine and verify.

Thou shalt not speak of Profit Factor in vain when trades number less than a hundred.

Statistics require data. Three trades with PF=5 is chance, not pattern.

Remember Stoploss and keep it holy.

Stoploss Sacrum — the sacred. Who moves the stop downward shall know the pain of liquidation.

Honor backtest and forward-test, that thy deposit may live long.

Backtest is history, forward-test is prophecy. Both may lie, but together — less often.

Thou shalt not liquidate thy neighbor... without good cause.

The market is not war. But if thou art at war — know thy target.

Thou shalt not trade on emotions.

FOMO is a demon. Greed is poison. Fear is fog. The algorithm knows no emotion — be as the algorithm.

Thou shalt not steal another's strategy without understanding it.

Copy-paste without understanding leads to losses. Study the logic before following.

Thou shalt not bear false witness about thy results.

Fabricated screenshots and 'forgotten' losing trades are the path to self-deception.

Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's profits — his risk profile differs.

His +500% may become his -100%. Compare thyself to thy yesterday's self.

Diversification is the path of the wise.

Put not all thy coins in one basket. Even if the basket seems very reliable.

Believe not promises of 1000% per month.

For this is either a lie or the path to swift liquidation. Often — both.

Grant us patience to await the setup, wisdom not to move the stoploss, humility to accept the loss, and fortitude not to enter the market on Monday morning. Protect us from the heresy of Martingale, from the temptation of x125 leverage, from the demon of overtrading, and from false prophets promising 1000% per month. May our Profit Factor be above one, our Drawdown below the tolerable, and our trade count statistically significant. For thine is the logic, the backtest, and the validation, for ever and ever in all timeframes. Amen.
